The chronograph is dedicated to Charles Vermo and was released in a limited edition of 1975 copies. The Chronomaster Open dial allows you to contemplate the well–coordinated operation of the clockwork and the wheel drive – it is no coincidence that this caliber, with its high technical characteristics and exceptional accuracy, was unanimously recognized as “the best mass-produced movement in the world.” Its secret lies in the vibration frequency of the balance wheel, which is a quarter higher than that of all existing Calibers. While the balance wheels of conventional mechanisms produce no more than eight movements per second, the balance wheel of the El Primero Caliber manages to make 10 half-vibrations. The realization of such an elegant aesthetic of the open dial required the use of new technical solutions: in order to make the stroke control accessible to the eye, it had to be shifted to the edge of the mechanism – the “10 o’clock” mark. The case is made of stainless steel. Blue dial with a radiant guilloche. Hands and markers with Superluminova luminescent coating. Convex sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-reflective coating. Automatic movement El Primero 4021 with a power reserve of about 50 hours. Central hour and minute hands. The small second hand is at 9 o’clock. The power reserve indicator is at 6 o’clock. Chronograph: Central second hand, 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock. Tachymeter scale. The watch is equipped with a blue alligator leather and rubber strap with a triple stainless steel folding clasp.
