On the eve of the New Year holidays, Zenith has introduced a luxurious addition to the Defy Skyline line. The series of new products includes 3 models with gold cases and bracelets.<\/p>\n

All three received typical Defy Skyline cases-octagons with 12-sided bezels. Thanks to a convenient replacement system without additional tools, the gold bracelets with H-shaped links integrated into the cases can be easily replaced with rubber straps with a gold folding clasp. All models are equipped with sapphire glasses on both sides. The crown in the watch is screw-on. The water resistance of the case is 100 meters.<\/p>\n

Other unifying details in the design are faceted solid gold hands and gold\u2013plated watch indexes coated with Super-LumiNova SLN C1 luminescent compound. All three are equipped with mechanisms based on the El Primero caliber, the distinctive feature of which is a 22-carat gold rotor with a star inside.<\/p>\n

The simplest of these three is the Time-only model with a yellow gold case. The 41 x 11.6 mm case is complemented by an olive green dial with a signature pattern of repeating four-pointed stars.<\/p>\n
A counter with a small second hand at the “9 o’clock” mark tells you that a mechanism is installed inside that counts down the time with an accuracy of 1\/10 of a second. The date window completes the picture with an olive-green disc to match the dial.<\/p>\n

The watch is operated by the automatic calibre El Primero 3620. With a balanced frequency of 5 Hz, one winding drum guarantees the mechanism a 60-hour power reserve. The estimated cost of the model is \u20ac64,900 or $62,200.<\/p>\n

This model has the same characteristics as the previous one, but it has a rose gold case and an openwork dial. The operation of the watch is provided by a skeletonized version of the three-shot mechanism El Primero 3620. The highlight of this model is the symmetrical openwork bridges of the mechanism visible from the dial form a star, the symbol of the Zenith manufactory.<\/p>\n
The date window was removed here, and the small second hand was shifted to the “6 o’clock” mark for a better overview of the mechanism. The last of the three is an exquisite chronograph in rose gold. The 42 x 12.7 mm case is complemented by a slate-gray dial. The chronograph counters are made in a slightly lighter shade. A date indicator with a gray window was neatly inserted between them at the bottom of the dial.<\/p>\n
The chronograph’s second scale is visible under the minute scale on the inner bezel. A central second hand with an openwork counterweight in the shape of a star moves along it at a speed of 10 revolutions per second. It is not covered with gold, but made of solid metal.<\/p>\n
