Among the many new products in honor of the 50th anniversary of Royal Oak<\/strong> this year, Audemars Piguet<\/strong> announced the release of new models of the Royal Oak Selfwinding Chronograph<\/strong>. Seventeen new versions will make up the new line of the collection in 2022. The new models cover sizes 38 and 41 mm and range from steel to rose gold. Some of the new items are encrusted with a small number of diamonds.\u00a0The new 38mm Royal Oak Selfwinding Chronograph models include slightly modified stainless steel and rose gold models with bracelets.<\/p>\n

The 38 mm series received five new items, and the 41 mm range received 12 new models. However, the changes are relatively subtle, with each size continuing what was established by the current range, including the use of current mechanisms (Calibre 2385 for 38mm and 4401 for 41mm).<\/p>\n

The Royal Oak chronographs, dedicated to the 50th anniversary, contain several improvements and have some color solutions that are not part of the current collection, including “Bleu Nuit, Nuage 50” – the dial color from the original Royal Oak 1972 with full effect Petite or Grande Tapisserie.<\/p>\n

Other changes include a redesign of the body bevel elements, a more ergonomic back cover (solid on 38mm copies), a new link design to better emphasize the taper of the bracelet, and an updated bracelet design that uses thinner links – a first for Royal Oak steel.<\/p>\n

Some elements of the dial have been updated, including the size of the markers and hands, to ensure uniformity across the Royal Oak range. The logo design has also been updated. Prices start at $32,600 for a 38 mm diameter steel model, $33,800 for a 41 mm steel model, $50,100 for any 41 mm diameter rose gold model with a leather strap, $64,500 for a rose gold model with a 38 mm diameter blue dial, and $72,300 for a rose gold 41 mm.<\/p>\n

Overall, it turned out to be an update of a very successful chronograph line, which perfectly combines sporty and more casual elements.
