Those who thought that the Orange Sapphire version of the previous Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic series was the culmination were mistaken. Innovation is not a destination, it is a path, an eternal quest. And most importantly, it’s the state of mind that has been driving Hublot for over 40 years. In the new Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic Purple Sapphire model, watchmakers from Nyon present an exclusive version of synthetic sapphire in translucent purple color. This color is revolutionary in the world of Fine watchmaking.
A new milestone has been reached in the skill of working with sapphire
“Constancy and perseverance. Innovation does not consist in launching single products, but rather in the ability to maintain a range for a long time with a consistent level of quality, while continuing to explore new directions. This is exactly what we have been doing since 2016, since the release of the first Big Bang watches in a sapphire case. The Purple Sapphire watch version is a new chapter and once again the first in the world!”
RICARDO GUADALUPE (CEO OF HUBLOT)

The new color version is an innovative breakthrough that demonstrates the tireless work of watchmakers in the field of research and development. It is thanks to their hard work that the watch brand has become the leading one in the new millennium and the most revolutionary in the world. Each new color is the result of a very subtle alchemy that allows you to combine saturation, brightness and clarity of a shade with translucency. All these qualities are perfectly combined in the array of a very complex case. This new purple shade is a composite of Al₂o₃ (aluminum dioxide) and chromium.

This model also shows a vision of the future and a desire to move forward, thanks to which the doors of tomorrow’s watch technology are opening today. By combining traditional sophisticated watch features (tourbillon) with innovative material (sapphire) in a completely exclusive color, Hublot once again embodies its motto: to be the first, unique and unlike others. The watch company breaks down all boundaries between tradition and modernity to combine material and form, style and technique. The new Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic Purple Sapphire model is an example of incredible innovation: when wearing its tourbillon in direct contact with the skin, it feels like the case is completely transparent and allows you to see every detail.
The body and mechanism are harmoniously combined with each other thanks to strict manufacturing processes. In case manufacturing, Hublot has the most extensive experience working with sapphires in the watchmaking industry. The Big Bang Unico Sapphire (transparent), All Black Sapphire, Big Bang Unico Red Sapphire and Blue Sapphire, Spirit of Big Bang Yellow Sapphire or the latest Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic Orange Sapphire watches have become milestones in the creation of the new Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic Purple Sapphire model. The translucent bezel and the finely polished purple sapphire case are complemented by six H-shaped titanium screws, so characteristic of the iconic Big Bang design.

When it comes to the mechanism, Hublot can rely on fifteen years of experience in developing its tourbillon, which began work back in 2007, from the moment the first model was released. Thanks to this experience, Hublot is now able to offer a self-winding tourbillon, while manual winding tourbillons with a power reserve of three full days (72 hours) are the norm. Ceramic bearings are used in the plant’s system. Instead of a traditional rotor, a micro-rotor is used, mounted in the very heart of the caliber, which is a much more complex technical solution and allows you to get a clear overview of the entire mechanism. The micro-rotor is positioned at the “12 o’clock” position, which is actually an unprecedented arrangement in watchmaking. It also provides a wonderful aesthetic balance with the tourbillon positioned at 6 o’clock and having the same proportions.

The airy effect of the mechanism is provided by a refined skeletonized structure with sandblasting. The tourbillon carriage is positioned at 6 o’clock and makes a complete revolution in one minute. It is distinguished by the fineness of the lines that allow you to look into the very heart of the mechanism. The visualization of the open dial is enhanced by the hands and hour markers with luminescent coating. The clear purple rubber strap with embossed lining is equipped with a patented One-Click system that makes it easy to replace. The avant-garde style of this 50-piece limited edition is complemented by a titanium folding clasp.

Hublot presents its own interpretation of the square–case watch, a new geometric shape for the manufactory. The Square Bang Unico model, imbued with the aesthetics of the legendary Big Bang line, opens a new line, The Shaped Collection, which will take its place along with the Spirit of Big Bang collection.
“Square watches are a very specific thing, few watch manufacturers dare to make them. For decades, no one really knew how to work with this technically complex, unusual shape. She was waiting for us! Hublot decided to use the high potential of this shape to create a completely unique watch. Like any Hublot watch, the Square Bang Unico model has no analogues! ”
RICARDO GUADALUPE – (CEO OF HUBLOT)
Is there anything else untested in watchmaking? This is a question that Hublot’s research and development department asks every day. After creating the most durable materials, striking the most unexpected partnerships, and developing unique complex functions, the answer turned out to be very simple: form. Currently, Hublot produces models in three shapes: round, cylindrical and MP (Master Pieces) – masterpieces that violate all canons. Today, a fourth shape has appeared: a square. It aroused the interest of Hublot precisely because it poses many difficult tasks. First, the mechanism: since the main component of any mechanism is the wheel, this implies that the mechanism must be round. Putting a round mechanism in a square case is still a challenge. This is why most watch manufacturers hide the movement to create the illusion that they are using the same shape, or because they have failed to find a suitable aesthetic solution.

Hublot has made a radically new decision: not to hide its own Unico mechanism, developed in Nyon, as well as the mechanical “heart” of the caliber that has been used in most models for more than 10 years. The column wheel of the chronograph is visible at 6 o’clock, and the bicompass on the dial reveals the operation of the mechanism.Another challenging task was the modular design of the case, designed in the tradition of Hublot, with a central part formed by upper and lower platinum, generating a myriad of combinations and transformations. However, the square shape has made it much more difficult to ensure water resistance. Hublot has successfully coped with this task and guarantees water resistance up to 100 meters. The size of the case is also an important factor in terms of ergonomics and hand comfort, which resembles the 42 mm diameter Big Bang model. The new model’s affinity with the legendary watch is evident in every detail.

First of all, this is the sandwich design of the dial, which creates the effect of multi-level depth, and the dial has an architectural appearance. As in the Big Bang watch, the Square Bang Unico dial makes extensive use of sapphire crystal to reveal the Unico movement using the same hands. In addition, the same six (functional) screws stand out on the bezel, placed in exactly the same way as in the Big Bang watch. The side of the Square Bang Unico case is continued by the same ears as the Big Bang models, which visually balance the design and at the same time protect the case. As for the rubber strap, in addition to the highly appreciated One Click system used in Big Bang watches and the textured decoration, two screws are fixed in its middle part. Finally, the Square Bang Unico models use the same materials as the Big Bang watches – titanium, ceramic, and King gold – as well as the famous All Black design. Square Bang Unico’s distinctive design is completed by a new strap with a texture reminiscent of a chocolate bar. Thanks to the fast strap replacement system (One Click), you can change the style of your watch in one motion – you can choose from a wide range of rubber and alligator leather straps, which will soon be replenished with Soft Touch leather options.

The collection is already represented by five 42mm models. Three of them are made of solid titanium, black ceramic and King gold. In the other two, titanium and King gold are combined with a black ceramic bezel. Each model is equipped with a black rubber strap and a folding clasp made of the same material as the case. The original design corresponds to the functionality of the HUB1280 Unico manufacturing mechanism. The balance frequency of this 354-part automatic chronograph is 4 Hz (28,800 pcs/hr). According to Hublot traditions, no compromises are allowed in the quality of finishes that follow modern trends: polished and micro-jet-treated screws, a crown with a rubber overlay, buttons with a rubber finish imitating a chocolate bar, a polished and satin-finished lower part of the case, and hands with rhodium-plated or gold-plated 5N, depending on the model. Crown caps with rubber lining. The textured strap decor was created specifically for Square Bang Unico models. It consists of four rows of embossed squares (a reference to the four sides of the case) and echoes the design of the bezel.
All black: collector’s limited edition of 250 copies
If you had to choose only one watch, you would probably choose this one: Square Bang Unico All Black. As always with the All Blacks, only 250 copies will be released – this will be the only limited edition of the Square Bang Unico collection. After more than 15 years, the All Black line once again demonstrates its versatile, dynamic character as part of the Square Bang Unico collection. Whether it’s the case, bezel, buttons, strap, platinum or hour markers, all surfaces, polished or satin, produce different shades of black that only the owner of the watch can appreciate. Ceramics and titanium form a harmonious alliance. A rare design for collectors who prefer something fundamentally new.

After five years of collaboration, Hublot and Richard Orlinsky present the missing link of their joint collection: a series of watches complemented by a new metal bracelet using elements from famous sculptures by the French artist.
When in December 2017 in Miami, the company Hublot introduced the first watch, created by Richard Orlinsky, the public reaction was unanimous: this is the first ever production of Orlinsky’s art, showing time! After the release of the first model, the Swiss watch manufacturer and Richard Orlinsky created a collection of watches, demonstrating the style of angular shapescharacteristic of the French artist’s works.

Richard Orlinsky is a member of the Hublot Loves Art, just like Shepard Fairey, span>Maxim Pleshia–Bushy, Mark Ferrero and Takashi Murakami, and he can also be proud of himself, which is the most successful and best-selling contemporary French artist in the world. Hublot and Richard Orlinsky they begin a new stage of their collaboration, introducing four versions of the watch Classic Fusion Orlinski Bracelet, equipped with a newly integrated metal bracelet. Every watchmaker knows, that designing a bracelet of this type is a very difficult task. It is necessary to ensure reliable mechanical and aesthetic integration of the bracelet into the watch case, allowing for comfortable adaptation to any surface. The engineers of Hublot applied all their technical skills to create the watch, whose angles, chamfered edges and chamfers give character to the case, bezel, crown and metal bracelet, the structure of which consists of 83 parts, made of titanium with beveled edges and chamfers.

Thanks to the beveled shapes, inspired by Richard Orlinsky’s sculptures, the bracelet plays with reflections mirrorily polished edges. H–The shaped links resemble the logo of Hublot. This new bracelet is attached to the sides of the watch case. Having a diameter of 40 mm, it is ideal for both women, and for the male wrist. The polished titanium case is equipped with a HUB1100 mechanism, automatic caliber with a power reserve 42 hours . The dial has a faceted design, so characteristic of Richard Orlinsky, and is available in two versions: made of black or white ceramic. Like a jeweled work of art, Hublot also presents the Classic Fusion Orlinski Bracelet with an integrated bracelet, which, like the case, is encrusted with diamond pavet. Enhancing the play of light and shadow, some facets on the case, bezel and bracelet complemented with diamonds with a total weight of 3.79 carats . Time creates art, and art creates time!
“When we presented the fruits of our first collaboration five years ago, it was hard to imagine that Richard’s creations would make up the entire Hublot watch collection. The crowning technical triumph was that together we successfully developed an integrated metal bracelet, thereby placing Richard’s art on the wrist.”

HUBLOT CERAMICS AS PART OF A SINGLE WHOLE 4 NEW SHADES WILL TAKE YOU ON A COLORFUL JOURNEY AROUND THE WORLD
Big Bang Integral Ceramic is in its element. Alloy into a single structure: monolithic structure, monochrome, monomaterial. What makes this product a single whole? Firstly, its monolithic construction with a bracelet integrated into the case. Secondly, it is a monocomposite material made of ceramics. And thirdly, 4 new monochrome color solutions – indigo blue, azure blue, sandy beige and jungle green.

“A watch with an integrated wristband is a challenge! It is also the most popular model among customers… A ceramic watch with an integrated bracelet is a double challenge and a real rarity, a special model. The bracelet consists of 22 ceramic elements, each of which requires a special tool, shape and processing… The UNICO V2 is a manufactured chronograph movement created from scratch – there are only a few on the market. It has a 72-hour power reserve, which is also quite rare, and its measurement accuracy is time-tested… this makes the product even more rare and unique.”
RICARDO GUADALUPE – (CEO OF HUBLOT)

In 2020, 15 years after the release of the first model, the Big Bang collection was expanded with the first model with an integrated bracelet. The product as a whole. The watch’s corporate identity and aesthetics are distinguished by its well-defined lines, made entirely of ceramic, with the exception of the compound lugs, buttons and crown, which are coated with rubber. Thanks to its innovative technologies, Hublot has expanded the boundaries of possibilities in working with ceramics, increasing durability and scratch resistance, enhancing color intensity while maintaining lightness. Due to its low thermal conductivity and hypoallergenic properties, the material is pleasant to the touch and maximally comfortable to use.

With this type of ceramic, Hublot Big Bang Integral is in its element, bringing 4 new monochrome shades to the collection. Each of them is available in a limited edition of 250 copies. The 4 colors represent the elements of WATER, EARTH and WOOD. The sources of inspiration were the colors noted around the world: indigo blue from the Majorelle Garden and the streets of Chefchaouen in Morocco, the blue color of the city of Dholpur in Rajasthan, the azure blue color of the South Seas, sandy beige color from deserts and beaches of the Caribbean Sea, as well as the green color of the jungle from the rainforest. The product is available in a 42 mm case with a manufactured UNICO V2 movement and a power reserve of 72 hours. The watch is equipped with the HUB1280 caliber, featuring a slimmer design, a new design, simpler assembly, improved reading and functionality. The model is complemented by a bracelet, which consists of 3 links with beveled corners, with a polished and satin surface. The unique design of Big Bang Integral Ceramic is perfectly accentuated by new colors and matching finishes.
