Richard Mille RM 037 White Ceramic

Richard Mille RM 037 White Ceramic is the latest addition to the ever-growing Richard Mille women’s collection. This is a new interpretation of the RM 037 model, which for the first time combines white ceramics, mother-of-pearl and 18k white gold.

White ceramic is used on the bezel and back cover. In particular, Richard Mille uses white ATZ ceramics, where ATZ stands for aluminum oxide tempered with zirconium dioxide. This material is based on aluminum oxide powder tubes injected at a pressure of 2000 bar. This high-pressure injection increases stiffness by 20-30% and reduces porosity of the material to an absolute minimum.

Hypoallergenic and one of the hardest materials in the world after diamond, ATZ ceramics are valued for their exceptional resistance to scratches, impacts and abrasion, as well as for their whiteness, which does not change with time.

The production of complex shapes such as the bezel and the RM 037 back cover is a very difficult task and requires long and delicate machining and diamond grinding.
The resulting polished surfaces emphasize the distinctive shape of the case well. The sides of the case are made of white gold with satin-finished surfaces alternating with polished connecting columns.

The dial, protected by sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides, is decorated with mother-of-pearl and white diamonds. He reveals the details of the skeletonized CRMA1 manufacturing mechanism, including two skeletonized calendar discs that are used to display the enlarged date on a white field under the “12 o’clock” mark.

The button located at the “4 o’clock” mark allows you to switch the factory functions with a simple tap. The aperture located at the “4 o’clock” position shows the selected function: W (factory) – N (neutral position) – H (manual setting). Another button at the “10 o’clock” mark adjusts the date.

The mechanism, operating at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 half-vibrations per hour) and visible through the sapphire crystal on the back cover, provides a power reserve of 50 hours (± 10%). The base and bridges are made of Grade 5 titanium with black PVD coating, and the variable geometry rotor is made of 18K rose gold.

The patented “crown-rod” design allows you to fully guarantee the integrity of the mechanism and protect it from external influences, since it does not use a classic crown that goes into the very heart of the mechanism. In fact, the crown-rod assembly is not connected to the clock mechanism, but is part of the case.
