Richard Mille RM 35-03 Rafael Nadal includes technical specifications that allow you to withstand the intense nature of the tennis game. In this case, it is a rotor with adjustable winding modes of the mechanism. As a result, the winding can be stopped during the game, preventing excessive wear of the mechanism.

Richard Mille’s RMAL2 mechanism is equipped with a “Sport Mode” button that adjusts the shape of the two-position automatic rotor (Richard Mille calls this the “butterfly” rotor system). In the “Sport mode” position, the rotor splits into parts and forms a butterfly shape that distributes the weight more evenly.

The new butterfly rotor of the Richard Mille RM 35-03 watch allows the wearer to interact directly with the geometry of the rotor, controlling the winding speed of the mechanism depending on lifestyle and activity level.

The idea is to prevent excessive load on the mechanism. For people with a low-activity lifestyle, the automatic plant system should be more efficient (thus, it requires less effort to plant it), and for people with a more active lifestyle, the plant system absorbs more torque generated by gravity.

The Richard Mille RMAL2 automatic movement operates at a frequency of 4 Hz and has a power reserve of about 55 hours. It shows only the time with central seconds and has an additional button that acts as a function switch. Pressing it switches the crown between time adjustment, neutral position and winding of the spring. The movement also has a sports mode position indicator above the “6 o’clock” mark on the skeletonized dial.

Elegant and ergonomic in its lines, the new Richard Mille RM 35-03 watch is available in three versions: blue quartz TPT with a white quartz TPT case; white quartz TPT and carbon TPT with a carbon TPT case; and fully carbon TPT. The dial is completely skeletonized, so the movement can be admired from both sides thanks to the sapphire glasses on the front and back.

Cases measuring 43.15 x 49.95 mm and 13.15 mm thick are made from various combinations of quartz TPT or carbon TPT materials, which are layered and then carefully milled. The tonneau-shaped cases are comfortable to wear, and they also use titanium parts, such as screws, buttons, and back cover parts. The case is 43.15 mm wide at its widest point, and although the watch is not small, it is really very comfortable to wear (like most Richard Mille watches). The water resistance is 50 meters.

The high-quality rubber strap is integrated into the case design and is attached to a spring-loaded butterfly-shaped folding clasp.
