Lightness is the result of hard work

Titanium RLX

For the first time, titanium RLX was used on watches from the Yacht‑Master line. This Category 5 titanium alloy selected by Rolex is distinguished by qualities such as lightness and resistance to deformation and corrosion. Due to its use for the manufacture of cases and bracelets, the weight of the watch is reduced by a third compared to the same steel model. This material is difficult to work with, so it requires the use of special processing methods.

Highly technical satin finish

The combination of polished, glossy and highly technical satin finish attests to Rolex’s high-end craftsmanship. It pleases the eye with the exquisite play of textures and light generated by the combination of polished (on the protective protrusions of the crown), glossy (on the upper edges of the temples) and matte surfaces with a highly technical satin finish (on the case and bracelet).

The new version with a bi-directional rotating bezel, equipped with a black matte Cerachrom ceramic disc with polished numerals and divisions, is true to the traditional iconic design of the first watch model introduced in 2019.

Oyster bracelet

The new version of the Yacht‑Master 42 model is equipped with an Oyster bracelet, also made of titanium RLX. It features a highly technical satin finish on the links and an Oysterlock safety fastener. It also has a convenient, fast-extending Easylink link that allows you to extend the bracelet by about 5 mm. Moreover, there are ceramic inserts on the inside of the bracelet links, which improve the bracelet’s mobility and durability.
