The Defy line in the Zenith catalog has been updated with the new Defy Classic Carbon. The watch case is made of carbon fiber and has a very light weight. In addition to some material advantages, it provides a completely fresh aesthetic appearance. Carbon fiber goes well with the somewhat sharp lines of the Defy Classic body.
The advantages of carbon fiber as a housing material – in addition to the appearance – are high strength, corrosion resistance and exceptional lightness. All watches completely on a carbon bracelet weigh 65 grams, which, by and large, is practically weightless on the wrist. For comparison, this carbon watch weighs almost half as much as the equivalent titanium model.
The carbon bracelet looks quite attractive and is guaranteed to feel unusual on the wrist: light as a feather and just as pleasant to the touch. Zenith also provides a black rubber strap with a Cordura effect.
The delicate angular dial of the Defy Classic also perfectly matches the technical material adorning the star-shaped dial, which, like the case and bracelet, is made in dark tones with a ruthenium coating and a spectacular matte finish.
The airy design of the watch’s front allows you to take a look at the skeletonized movement of the Elite 670. Flashes of glowing green Super-LumiNova SLN C3 can be seen on the hands, hour markers, and even behind the skeletonized date aperture at the six o’clock position.
Carbon cases are not suitable for all watches, but with a modern sporty design like the Defy Classic, they are simply made for each other. The original design of the watch demonstrates that the star Zenith Defy Classic continues its ascent.
