Ulysse Nardin has introduced a diving novelty that reflects the brand’s maritime heritage. The Diver Hammerhead Shark model has received a massive 44 x 14.81 mm case, the titanium construction of which ensures that the watch will be light and comfortable.

The case has a blue PVD coating, which gives the watch a modern look and increases its resistance to corrosion. The one-way rotating bezel with a blue rubber insert is equipped with a 60-minute immersion scale with a red mark “0” instead of the number “12”. The red protective stops on both sides of the crown add a dynamic visual accent to the design.

The back cover of the case is decorated with an engraving of a hammerhead shark. The limited edition of the watch, the serial model number and the 300-meter water resistance are also indicated in red.

The delicate sandblasted dial of the novelty is decorated with the Diver collection’s signature motif “X”, made in red and blue colors. Luminous hands and hour markers work on the readability of the dial. There is also a luminescent coating on the small second hand, in the area of which there is a neat date window at the bottom of the dial. The luminescent indicator at the “12 o’clock” mark gives information about the remaining power reserve in the watch.

The model is equipped with the UN-118 manufacturing caliber, which combines traditional mechanics and once innovative silicon technology. This self-winding movement is equipped with a proprietary DIAMonSIL trigger and a silicon balance spiral, which makes its design resistant to magnetization, does not require lubrication and is durable. The mechanism operates at a frequency of 28,800 pcs/hour, provides a 60-hour power reserve and has a convenient date transfer option both forward and backward.

The color scheme of the novelty is supported by a blue rubber strap with a red hammer shark in the design. The strap’s design is complemented by a titanium link with a PVD coating, on which the Ulysse Nardin logo is engraved. The phrase “1% for the Planet”, engraved on the back of the link, says that 1% of the annual sales of this model will be donated to the British non-profit organization Shark Trust, which rescues sharks around the world.
A Velcro fabric strap is included with the main strap. The model is limited to a series of 300 copies. The estimated cost of the watch is €12,300 or $12,100.
